BOARDMAN
Oct. 14
Criminal damaging: A "No Parking" sign was damaged at a business in the 1200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Assault: A woman in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue reported her 24-year-old former boyfriend assaulted her.
Counterfeit: Two counterfeit $50 bills were used to pay for services at the Fairfield Inn, 7397 Tiffany Boulevard.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 47-year-old Boardman man on a domestic violence charge after his girlfriend called 911 to report he assaulted her. The victim had a visible injury.
Theft: A man reported two sets of golf clubs and a blue golf bag stolen from his vehicle after he was in a traffic accident.
Drugs: A 20-year-old Campbell man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia after police conducted a search and found a suspected marijuana pipe and a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana in his possession.
Oct. 15
Arrest: A 34-year-old Warren man was arrested on a charge of passing bad checks.
Arrest: Police arrested a 25-year-old East Palestine man at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., on one count each of theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Drugs: Police arrested a 17-year-old Boardman boy on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after his parents reported finding a suspected marijuana pipe and an empty plastic bag in one of their vehicles.
Theft: Someone left the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., without paying for $140.42 worth of services.
Theft: A cellular phone and $10 in currency were taken from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Jeanette Drive.
Theft: Someone broke into a truck in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue and stole a leather briefcase containing an address book and three prescription bottles.
Theft: Three chrome lug nuts were removed from a vehicle parked at Dick's Sporting Goods, 1280 Doral Drive.
Warrants: After stopping a vehicle on South Avenue, police arrested a 37-year-old Youngstown woman on two charges of probation violation.
Assault: A Youngstown woman reported being assaulted while she shopped at the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 100 block of Jeanette Drive reported someone broke his garage window.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's driver's-side door assembly was damaged while it was parked at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Oct. 16
Theft: A purse, a wallet, a pair of glasses, a cellular phone and a checkbook were removed from a residence in the 5900 block of Northlawn Avenue.
Theft: An in-dash compact-disc player and an amplifier were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Shelbourne Drive.
Theft: A pager and 30 CDs were taken from a vehicle in the 5300 block of Old Oxford Lane.
Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown boy was arrested on a theft charge after two packs of cigarettes were stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Assault: A woman in the 300 block of Argyle Avenue reported a 36-year-old man grabbed her by the throat and shoved her to the floor.
Theft: Someone stole two sets of hearing aids from the front porch of a residence in the 700 block of Truesdale Road.
Criminal damaging: A New Middletown woman reported someone scratched a passenger-side door on her grandmother's vehicle.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the Movies 8 parking lot had its windshield cracked.
Theft, warrants: A 45-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a theft charge after $248 worth of clothing was stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. Police also discovered the man was wanted on two felony warrants, including a burglary charge, as well as a count of failure to appear in court.
Deception, warrant: A 17-year-old Youngstown boy was arrested on a deception charge after an employee in the Wal-Mart pharmacy, 1300 Doral Drive, said he brought in a fraudulent prescription to be filled. He also was charged with obstructing official business after police say he provided them with several false names, and he was held on a warrant charging him with probation violation.
Auto theft: A 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was stolen from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Oct. 17
Warrant: Police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown man at Camelot Lanes on a burglary charge.
Domestic violence: A 41-year-old Youngstown man was charged with domestic violence after a woman in the 7400 block of West Boulevard said he threw her to the ground and held the victim against her will.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into the Ford Academy of Beauty Culture, 5311 Market St., and stole an undetermined amount of cash.
Theft: An undetermined amount of merchandise was taken from Party Place, 1200 Doral Drive.
Theft: A 34-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a theft charge after about $610 worth of miscellaneous clothing was stolen from Kohl's department store, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging: A van's windshield was shattered while it was parked in the 7300 block of Southern Boulevard.
Theft: Two Youngstown women, ages 17 and 35, were arrested on a theft charge after $123 worth of clothing was stolen from Wal-Mart.
Theft, assault: A woman in the 4800 block of Erie Street reported a man took three kinds of medications from her without permission. Also, another woman at the residence reported her 32-year-old brother assaulted his girlfriend.
Theft: Police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man and charged him with theft after more than $1,000 worth of clothing was stolen from Demo clothing store in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's lock was damaged while it was parked at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A 15-year-old Boardman boy was arrested on a theft charge after two wristwatches and a silver bracelet were taken from Sears, and two sets of wristwatches were taken from J.C. Penney in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest, warrants: After responding to a suspicious-person call, police arrested a 32-year-old Boardman man on a charge of identity theft. He also was held on a Columbiana County and Cuyahoga County warrants charging him with failure to appear in court and contempt of court.
Oct. 18
Assault: Numerous dishes and glasses were broken at Perkins restaurant, 804 Boardman-Poland Road, after a fight broke out.
Warrants: Police arrested a 57-year-old Youngstown man at General Extrusions Inc., 4040 Lake Park Road, on various warrants, including a count of failure to appear in court to answer a housing violation charge.
Threat: An employee at Castle Windows, 970 Windham Court, called police after she said a disgruntled former worker called and threatened to retaliate against the other employees.
Identity theft: An employee at Quest Security Services Inc., 4213 Burkey Road, Austintown, reported someone fraudulently used one of his client's names to lease four vehicles.
Assault: A man in the 1300 block of Quail Court reported being assaulted.
Theft: Three Youngstown girls, ages 16, 17 and 18, were arrested on a theft charge after nine CDs were stolen from Target department store, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Oct. 19
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her wallet containing $179 was stolen while she shopped at Value City department store, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.

Oct. 15
Arrest: After conducting a traffic stop near U.S. Route 224 and state Route 616, police arrested a 32-year-old Lowellville man on a charge of driving under a suspended license. He also was charged with child endangering after the man's wife reported he took their 6-year-old son and failed to return him.
Oct. 17
Theft: Four male juveniles were arrested on a theft charge after police say they saw the four remove a sign posted at Poland Middle School, 30 Riverside Drive.
Oct. 18
Warrant: After pulling over a vehicle at Bruster's Ice Cream, 18 McKinley Way, police arrested a 20-year-old Hubbard man on a Columbiana County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.
Oct. 19
Warrant: After stopping a car, police arrested a 19-year-old Struthers man on an Austintown warrant charging him with telephone harassment.
Oct. 20
Domestic violence: A 51-year-old Centennial Drive man was charged with domestic violence after his wife said he ripped a telephone from the wall and hit her on the top of her head. The victim also said her husband grabbed their son by the throat.
