STRUTHERS -- The marriage of Leslie Michele Gavalier, Struthers, and Jonathan David Hunter, Boardman, was solemnized by the Rev. David Misbrener at 2 p.m. Sept. 28 at St. Nicholas Church.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gavalier of Struthers, and the groom is a son of Pauline Hunter, Boardman, and the late former Mayor Jack C. Hunter.
The couple were honored during a reception at The Elm Tree before leaving on a wedding trip to Hilton Head, S.C. They live in Boardman.
The bride wore a sleeveless ivory silk gown enhanced with Alencon lace, pearls and sequins, and the skirt fell to a chapel train.
Black gowns were worn by Rene & eacute; Gavalier, the bride's sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Jeannine Hunter and Jo-Lynn Hunter, sisters of the groom; Dawn Gavalier, the bride's sister-in-law; Angela McCann, her cousin; Michelle Gay; and Laura Grist. Junior bridesmaid was Shannyn Nye, and flower girl was Rachel Gavalier, nieces of the bride.
Jared Hunter was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were James Meenahan, Jeff Meenahan, Justin Coulter, John Vigilatti, Joe Ogden and the bride's brother, Fred Gavalier. Junior groomsman was the bride's son, Zachary Demsky, and ring bearer was Ryan Gavalier, her nephew.
The bride studied physical therapy at Youngstown State University and is a head cashier at Home Depot in Boardman. The groom is the owner of Hunter Extended Electric in Boardman. He studied business administration at YSU.
