YOUNGSTOWN -- The exchange of vows took place at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 21 as Kimberly Protain and Thomas Strimple, both of 297 Raymond Ave., Warren, were united in marriage at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
Parents of the bride are John and Debbie Protain, 302 Whipple Ave., Campbell, and the groom is a son of James and Gladys Strimple, 4822 Bond St., Warren.
The couple were honored afterward during a reception held at Aulizio's Banquet Center in Warren. They live in Champion.
The bride, a high-school science teacher with Lordstown Local Schools, graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in secondary education.
The groom is employed as an assembler with Kraftmaid Cabinetry in Middlefield.
Wine-colored gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Kristy Protain, and the bridesmaids, Randi Protain, her sister; Serena Johnson; Stacie Cepin; and Tonya Strimple, a sister of the groom. His niece, Alyssa Leathers, was junior bridesmaid, and his cousin, Riley Brown, was flower girl.
Robert Burnfield served as best man, and groomsmen were Kevin Morton; Chris Protain, the bride's brother; Paul Macklin; and Eric Baritell. Junior groomsman was David Hill, the bride's nephew, and ring bearer was Justin Kenney, a nephew of the groom.
