BOARDMAN -- The gazebo at Boardman Township Park was the setting at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 as marriage vows were exchanged by Kelly Medvec and Tom Scott. Parents of the couple are Kenneth and Jane Medvec, New Springfield, and Thomas and Jane Scott, New Middletown.
The Rev. Reid Lamport officiated, and a reception was held at St. Mary's Banquet Center. The newlyweds honeymooned on a cruise to the western Caribbean and are living at 7956 Sigle Lane, Poland.
The bride wore a white satin strapless gown embellished with pearls and sequins. The skirt extended to a cathedral train.
Matron of honor was Dana Rodgers, and bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Connie Medvec and Karie Kilgore, and her sister-in-law, Angela Medvec. They wore lavender gowns. Flower girls were the groom's cousins, Bailey and Bella Bury.
The groom's father performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Tom Kliem, the groom's brother-in-law; Brian Medvec, the bride's brother; and Mat Kilgore, the bride's brother-in-law. Junior groomsman was the bride's nephew, Sage Medvec, and ring bearers were Jacob and Trey Medvec, also nephews of the bride.
Mrs. Scott holds an associate degree in applied science from Youngstown State University and is a registered dietetic technician at Calcutta Health Care Center, Calcutta.
Her husband earned an associate degree in business management at ITT Technical Institute in Youngstown and is a network engineer for First Place Bank.
