Hanna jubilee celebrated during party and trip
CANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hanna of Canfield were guests of honor during a party Oct. 13 at Austintown Township Park in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. They also marked the occasion during a recent trip to Branson, Mo.
Hosts of the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Terry and Amy Hanna of Boardman, Tim and Wendy Hanna and Jeri Kay Williams, all of Austintown, and Debbie and Keith Reynolds of Canfield. The family circle also includes nine grandchildren.
The former Dolores Shears and Mr. Hanna exchanged marriage vows Oct. 5, 1952, at Canfield Christian Church.
Mrs. Hanna was employed as a guest service manager for Knights Inn in Austintown and served for 37 years on the Mahoning County Board of Elections.
Retiring in 1988, Mr. Hanna was a coordinator on the final line at General Motors Corp., Lordstown. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. and Mrs. Hanna are members of Canfield Christian Church, where he is a deacon and she is a deaconess.
For the past 10 years the couple have worked as cashiers at Walt Disney World, Buena Vista, Fla.
