Fioritos mark 50th anniversary at dinner

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fiorito of 2402 Chaney Circle were honored Oct. 19 at a dinner at Vernon's Banquet Centre in Niles on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. Hosts for the celebration were the couple's children and their spouses, Eleanor and Michael Vitez of Howland; Juliann Fiorito of Lorain; Fred and Carrie Fiorito of Haymarket, Va.; and Michele and Joseph Cambria of South Elgin, Ill. Five grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Fiorito and the former Eleanor Altier were married Oct. 18, 1952, at St. Brendan Church, where the couple are members and renewed their vows prior to the dinner. The Rev. James Daprile officiated for the renewal of vows.
Mr. Fiorito served as a medic in the 40th Infantry Division during the Korean War and retired in 1993 from R.L. Lipton.
