YOUNGSTOWN -- Carolyn Ann Carnie of Powell and Craig Alan Abbruzzese of Upper Arlington received a papal blessing as they were married at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at St. Edward Church.
The Rev. Frank Lehnerd presided at the wedding of the daughter of Atty. and Mrs. William T. Carnie of Youngstown and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Abbruzzese of Upper Arlington.
After a reception at the Avalon Inn and Resort in Howland, the couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic. They live in Powell.
The bride's strapless satin gown was enhanced with jeweled Alencon lace and featured a dropped waist and semicathedral train.
Mink-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Michele Marian and Michele Voge, and the bridesmaids, Joanne Petrella, Jenna Petrella, Kate Crotella, Marcy Orlando, Jane Wildermuth and Diane Schilling. Junior bridesmaid was Jillian Marian, and flower girls were Hannah Abbruzzese and Morgan Abbruzzese.
Serving as best man was Tyler Abbruzzese, and groomsmen were Scott Abbruzzese, Bill Carnie, Brian Carnie, Chris Abbruzzese, Todd Parker, Dan Patrick and Scott Eckelberry. Ring bearers were Zack Abbruzzese and Ryan Abbruzzese.
The bride, a graduate of Miami University at Oxford and Ohio State University, is a social worker with the Department of Veterans Affairs and has a private practice, Lifespan Solutions, in Columbus.
The groom graduated from OSU and is the manager at Bridgestone/Firestone in Upper Arlington.
