TAC ROUNDUP Fletcher's 253 yards lead Liberty past Brookfield

Newton Falls and Champion also won league contests.
LIBERTY -- Bradley Fletcher rushed for 253 yards on just six carries Friday in leading the Liberty High football team to a 48-6 thumping of Brookfield.
Fletcher scored touchdowns on runs of 82, 64 and 73 yards for the Leopards (6-3, 4-2 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Steve Patterson scored the game's first touchdown on a 49-yard run and finished with 82 yards on nine carries.
Kris Scharba led Brookfield (5-4, 3-3) with 100 yards on nine carries, scoring the Warriors' touchdown on a 7-yard run.
Lou Scudere had 87 yards on 18 carries.
Newton Falls 25, Lakeview 20
CORTLAND -- Tom Nemet threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.
Aaron Spahlinger intercepted a pass from Lakeview quarterback Kevin Rigby with under a minute left to seal the victory. Newton Falls (6-3, 3-3) is ranked 10th in the latest Div. IV, Region 17 computer playoff ratings.
Nemet completed 5 of 9 passes for 60 yards and added 97 yards on 23 carries.
Matt Gillespie led the Tigers with 23 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown.
Rigby hit 5 of 19 for 121 yards for Lakeview (3-6, 2-4).
David Costas caught three passes for 106 yards.
