YOUNGSTOWN Spending items, contracts



The city's board of control approved the following contracts and spending items Thursday. The severances are for workers who resigned or retired to take the city's incentive to leave the payroll and cut costs:
A contract with AMPCO Parking to manage the city's parking meters for $659 per month from October until March.
Severance of $11,233 for Samuel Scott, a detective sergeant in the police department who retired Sept. 13.
Severance of $12,662 for Jose Morales, a police officer who retired Aug. 23.
Severance of $15,589 for William Carnie, an assistant law director who retired Sept. 13.
Severance of $4,336 for Michael Krause, an assistant law director who resigned Sept. 13.
Severance of $6,483 for Charlotte Stahl, the administrator in the health department, who resigned Aug. 9.
Severance of $1,350 for Tamica Green, the Federal Plaza director who resigned Sept. 13.
Severance of $3,608 for John Esker, a personal computer technician who resigned Aug. 6.
Severance of $4,055 for Erin Marie Schwartz, a clerk-timekeeper in the street department who resigned Aug. 9.
Severance of $794 for Dwayne Pixley, a driver-laborer in the street department who resigned Aug. 8.
Severance of $828 for Laurie Leonard, a clerk in the police department who resigned Aug. 9.
Severance of $749 for Dana Hubbard, a nursing clerk in the health department who resigned Aug. 9.
Severance of $358 for Randall Nuby Jr., a laborer in the parks department, who resigned Aug. 9.
