RECOGNITION Fundraising professionals set Philanthropy Day luncheon
LIBERTY -- Mahoning-Shenango Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will hold a luncheon Nov. 12 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day.
The luncheon will honor those who have dedicated their time, talent and efforts to making the Valley a better place to live. The guest speaker will be Robert W. Shoder.
Shoder became chief operating officer of St. Joseph Health Center in Warren six years ago, and was promoted to executive vice president of operations for Humility of Mary Health Partners and also serves as its interim chief executive officer.
He was assistant administrator of Harper Hospital in Detroit and executive vice president and chief operating officer of Barberton Citizens Hospital.
Shoder holds a bachelor's degree in public administration from Miami University in Oxford and a master's in hospital and health administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He also serves as vice president of the advisory board of Kent State University Trumbull Campus. He lives in Howland with his wife and three children.
