GREENFORD -- A reception was held Sept. 21 at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman to honor John William Taylor and his bride, the former Alisha Marie Chizmar, following their wedding at 3:30 p.m. at Greenford Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Elizabeth Fox presided at the wedding ceremony for the daughter of Dave and Kathy Chizmar of Salem and the son of Delmar Gene and Mae Taylor of North Lima.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Las Vegas and live in Boardman.
The bride wore an A-line gown of matte satin with embroidery and crystals enhancing the bodice. The skirt featured an inset panel of tulle and Swarovski crystals and flowed into a sweep train.
Gowns in a variety of autumn colors were worn by the honor attendant, Tara Chizmar, a sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids, Terri Lally, Kim Mead and Barbra Ware, a sister of the groom.
Gene Taylor Jr. performed the duties of best man for his brother, and serving as groomsmen were Tom Lally, Nathan Chizmar, a brother of the bride, and Bruce Ware, the groom's brother-in-law.
The bride is a computer-aided drafting operator with Thorson, Baker and Associates in Richfield.
The groom is an independent truck driver.
