YOUNGSTOWN -- A stolen 2002 Chevrolet Impala being monitored by OnStar, an in-vehicle safety system that uses the Global Positioning System satellite network, was located in an Elm Street driveway about 1:45 a.m. today. Charlie Carlisle, 23, of Avondale Avenue was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property. The car had been stolen during a burglary on Avondale, police said.
Vice squad cites clerk
YOUNGSTOWN -- A 16-year-old sent by vice squad cops into Big A's Drive Thru on Glenwood Avenue Wednesday afternoon came out with a 24-ounce can of beer and pack of cigarettes, reports show. The clerk, Anwer Sebatan, 40, of Indianola Road, was issued citations that charge him with sales of alcohol and tobacco to an underage person. Police confiscated the identification card of Sebatan, who is not a U.S. citizen, the report noted.
