GOLF State tournament

What: Boys Division I and girls state tournament.
When: Friday-Saturday. Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
Where: University Golf Courses on the campus of Ohio State University, Columbus.
Cost: $6 per day.
Area qualifiers: (Boys) Boardman (Tim Morrow, Vick Daprile, Ari Papadopoulos, Brian Soller, Craig Soller). (Girls) Boardman (Betsy Beraduce, Kelly Milton, Carly Karzmer, Megan Yanik, Annie Frank); Warren JFK senior Kelly Batos.
Notebook: Boardman's boys team finished fourth at last week's district tournament behind Cleveland St. Ignatius, Uniontown Lake and Wooster. Boardman's girls team qualified for the state tournament for the fifth time in nine years. The Spartans finished third at last week's district meet. This is Baytos' first trip to the state tournament. Baytos, who finished third at last week's district tournament, has qualified for the district tournament all four years.
If you go: Take I-76 West to I-71 South to I-270 West to St. Rt. 315 to the Henderson Road exit. Turn right (south) onto Olentnagy River road then left (west) onto Henderson Road.
