Sharon man faces numerous charges
SHARON, Pa. -- Police arrested Nathaniel Crawford, 25, of East Connelly Boulevard after he was spotted coming out of a South Irvine Avenue home carrying a handgun.
Crawford was arrested around 7:15 p.m. Monday but had been at the house about 30 minutes earlier, arguing with the 36-year-old male resident and showing him the butt of a handgun he had tucked in his waistband, police said.
He threatened to come back and shoot the place up, the victim told police.
Police said the argument was over a stolen bicycle.
The victim called police and was riding around with officers looking for Crawford when Crawford apparently went back to the house and broke in, police said.
He was just coming out the door when police and the victim pulled up.
Police said he was carrying a loaded .22-caliber pistol, which he dropped on order from police officers. The gun turned out to have been stolen in Mercer County in 1993, police said.
Crawford was lodged in jail overnight on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, making terroristic threats and carrying a firearm without a license.
Police said he also is wanted in Georgia on a warrant charging him with a probation violation. He faced arraignment later today.
