Quinn Macali returned from injury to lead the Eagles in the 2-1 win.
COLUMBIANA -- Warren Kennedy High's first "on-field" victory this season came at the right time.
Ryan Marko and Quinn Macali each scored second-half goals, as the Eagles opened the Division III boys sectional soccer tournament Monday with a 2-1 victory over Columbiana.
JFK (2-13-1) won by forfeit over Badger earlier this season and tied Warren Harding.
After a scoreless first half, Marko and Macali gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead on assists from Kyle Schimley and Tom Gergley.
Macali, a junior midfielder, was playing in his first game for JFK after breaking his hip in the preseason.
JFK goalie Brian Wolnik made 13 saves for the Eagles but had to exit the game for 10 minutes after being yellow carded. Brian Cullivan stepped in during that time and made two saves, including one on a breakaway.
The Clippers (13-4), who were the fourth seed, scored an unassisted goal by Ryan Schmidt. Goalie David Cramer made 10 saves.

In the shootout, Lucas Martorana, Jonathan Airhart and Mann scored for Howland. Mann put the Tigers ahead in the fourth round, and the game ended when Lake's fifth attempt sailed high.
Airhart, Howland's goalie who made five saves in regulation, keyed the victory by stopping Lake's first attempt.
