Noble anniversary observed Oct. 12 at country club
BERLIN CENTER -- A reception was held Oct. 12 at Diamond Back Country Club in Ellsworth in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Noble, 6110 Weaver Road.
Invitations for the festivity were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Barbara Noble and Thomas Noble, both of Berlin Center, Martha and Lonnie Cain of Covington, and Mark and Janet Noble of Greenford. Also participating were the couple's three grandchildren.
The former Marjorie Stryffeler and Mr. Noble were united in marriage Oct. 18, 1952, at First Federated Church in North Jackson.
Mrs. Noble was employed as a registered nurse at Forum Health Northside Medical Center until retiring in 1995.
Mr. Noble was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in Europe with Patton's forces, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a member of the occupation army in Germany. He retired in 1987 as a carpenter with the Carpenter's Union Local 171 of Youngstown. He is a member of Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritans.
The Nobles are members of Berlin Center Historical Society, Welsh Pony Society of America, Ohio Welsh Pony Association and Mahoning Valley Pony Breeders Association.
