YOUNGSTOWN -- Kimberly McKinney of Salem and John Garchar, 4911 Southern Blvd., Boardman, were united in marriage Oct. 12 at St. Stanislaus Church.
The marriage was solemnized at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Edward Neroda.
A reception was held afterward at the Italian-American Veterans Centre to honor the daughter of Charles and Samary Taylor of Calcutta and the son of Carol and John Garchar, 834 Forestridge Drive, Boardman.
Afterward the couple left on a wedding trip to Hawaii. They will live in Petersburg.
Lace and beading adorned the bodice and hemline of the bride's white A-line gown, and the skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Wearing red gowns were the honor attendant, Andrea Arbie of Boardman; the bridesmaid, Aleisa Drivere of Youngstown; and the junior bridesmaid, Brittany Taylor of Walled Lake, Mich., niece of the bride.
Michael Bury of Youngstown served as best man for his cousin, and groomsmen were David Garchar of Charlotte, N.C., brother of the groom, and Thomas Troxil of Canfield. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Nathaniel Boccarossa of Bristol, Tenn.
The bride graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance with a bachelor's degree in communications. She is a technician with Benedek Broadcasting, WYTV.
The groom served with the Air Force and is an electrician with General Motors Corp. in Lordstown. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich.
