CANFIELD -- Erika Jane Kneen, 724 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, became the bride of Matthew Robert Hartings, 700 W. Bittersweet Place, Chicago, during a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 21 at St. Michael Church.
The Rev. Mark Hoying, the groom's uncle, officiated, and a reception followed at Fonderlac Country Club, New Springfield.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and live at the groom's address.
Parents of the couple are Dr. Timothy and Linda Kneen, 488 Greenmont Ave., and Robert and Lois Hartings, 10290 N. Reece Road, Piqua.
Seed pearls and crystals trimmed the bride's ivory silk brocade gown styled with a basque waist and chapel train.
Jennifer Michel was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Johanna Hartings, the groom's sister; Emily Kneen and Melissa Schlobohm, the bride's cousins; Megan Burnside; Wendy Holdt; and Marie Schrader. They wore claret-colored dresses.
Best man was the groom's brother, Thomas Hartings. Groomsmen were Jason and Travis Kneen, the bride's brothers; Nathan Reilly, the groom's cousin; Daniel Altenau; Jeremy Chmielewski; and Timothy Rowland.
The couple are graduates of the University of Dayton, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communications and he, a bachelor's in chemistry and physics. She is public relations manager at Newberry Library, Chicago. He is a doctoral candidate and graduate research assistant at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
