YOUNGSTOWN -- United in marriage Sept. 14 at St. Brendan Church were Andrea Lupu and Mark Smesko, both of 4097 Timberbrook Drive, Canfield.
The Rev. James Daprile presided at the 1 p.m. wedding for the daughter of David Lupu, 117 Diamond Way, Cortland, and Joyce Lupu, 150 Carolyn Ave., Cortland, and the son of John and Phyllis Smesko, 2710 Burbank Ave.
After a reception at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty, the couple honeymooned in Aruba. They live at the Canfield address.
The bride wore a strapless ivory satin gown fashioned with a chapel train.
Navy-blue gowns were worn by the bride's sisters and honor attendants, Stacey and Kelley Lupu, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Tammaro, niece of the groom, and Missy Schmader. Wearing an ivory gown was the flower girl, Claire Smesko, also his niece.
The duties of best man were performed by Raymond Smesko, the groom's brother, and groomsmen were Mark Eaton, Alan Mikovich and the groom's nephew, Joe Tammaro. Ring bearer was J.C. Mikovich.
The bride, a database analyst with Dominion East Ohio Gas in Independence, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in biology at YSU and graduated from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine with a doctor of podiatric medicine degree. He is a podiatrist with a private practice at Ankle and Foot Care Centers in Boardman.
