CHAMPIONSHIPS McDonald wins ICL cross country titles



BERLIN CENTER -- The McDonald boys and girls cross country teams repeated as champions at Tuesday's Inter-County League cross country meet at Western Reserve High School.
In the boys race, the Blue Devils scored 19 points and South Range was second with 41.
Luke McCluggage of Jackson-Milton placed first with a time of 16 minutes, 27.58 seconds.
Joe Kunkel (16:37.48) of McDonald placed second, Dan Nemergut (16:51.44) of South Range was third and Nick Testa (16:55.79) of McDonald was fourth.
The Blue Devils' Jason Corman (17:10.29), Kevin Stonestreet (17:21.04), Jason Witkowski (17:23.61) and Jim Kusiowski (17:32.92) finished fifth through eighth, respectively.
Jessica Wenhold (20:14.49) and Nicole Booth (20-43.57) ran 1-2 as McDonald scored 26 points for the girls title.
South Range was second with 39 points and Western Reserve scored 60.
Sarah Wingert (20:54.61) and Andra Sanders (21:16.21) of South Range placed third and fourth, while Western Reserve's Alex Wilson (21:16.61) was fifth.
