E. Palestine man wins
EAST PALESTINE -- Keith Davis, 21, of East Palestine is one of two winners in the Ohio Lottery's first 3-4-5 Triple Play Sweepstakes drawing.
Davis and Diane Hopkins of Columbus will receive a seven-day Caribbean cruise package that includes round-trip airfare from an Ohio airport and $750 in on-board cash credits.
Lottery officials said Davis works at the East Palestine Moose Lodge and has never been on a trip before, much less a cruise for two. Lottery officials said they notified Davis by phone, and after a long pause, Davis said, "I really did win?"
The 3-4-5 Triple Play Sweepstakes contest runs Sept. 16 through Nov. 1. Players mail in three nonwinning tickets, one each from the Pick 3, Pick 4 and Buckeye 5 games. Remaining drawings will be Oct. 21 and Nov. 12, lottery officials said.
