YOUNGSTOWN -- The SNOOP Block Watch meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday will feature comments from a Youngstown police officer and a firefighter about the importance of passing the proposed income tax increase on the Nov. 5 ballot. City officials have said all laid-off firefighters and police officers will be recalled if the tax increase passes.
The meeting will be at Jackson Elementary School, 1813 Windsor Avenue.
Zone change requested
LIBERTY -- The township zoning commission will have a public hearing at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the administration building concerning a zone change. Curtis Crump is requesting the zone change of 9.38 acres at 1373 W. Liberty St. from residential to commercial to build a small storage facility.
