Lego contest
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Shenango Valley Mall and the Mercer County Builder's Association are still taking contestants for the fourth annual Lego Building Contest Saturday in the mall common area.
The annual contest gives children through age 12 the opportunity to construct an original creation in one of two categories. Each contestant is sponsored by a member of the builder's association. The contest will begin with the first round of construction at 1 p.m.
Children interested in participating may register by completing a form available at mall customer service. They will be paired with a sponsoring agent from the builder's association.

Finding the gene
While scientists have yet to identify a gene for procrastination, odds are it's lazily lurking in our DNA. But what to do about it? Rita Emmett, author of "The Procrastinator's Handbook," has now written "The Proscrastinator's Child" (Walker & amp; Co., $10.95). Emmett is a counselor in Chicago and is well known for her parent training seminars.
Eye diseases
The Prevention of Blindness Society offers two resource booklets filled with information and referrals about eye disease and vision problems.
To get "Your Eyes and Low Vision" or "Your Child's Eyes: A Resource Directory for Parents of Vision-Impaired Children," send $5 for each booklet to the Prevention of Blindness Society, 1775 Church St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036 or call (202) 234-1020.
