YOUNGSTOWN -- Cleveland Browns President Carmen Policy will be the keynote speaker for the first commencement ceremony of Mahoning County Juvenile Treatment Court at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The ceremony will be at Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center, 300 E. Scott St.
The juvenile treatment court is the third drug court to operate in Mahoning County. There are also drug courts for adult felony and misdemeanor offenders. Three juvenile participants have completed all program requirements and are scheduled to graduate.
The juvenile treatment court is a three-phase program that combines intensive probation monitoring with chemical dependency treatment. It began operating in October 2001.
