Austintown teen charged in struggle with cops

AUSTINTOWN -- A township teen faces several charges stemming from a struggle with police over the weekend in the parking lot of Taco Bell on Mahoning Avenue.
Police charged the 17-year-old White Beech Lane boy with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and having an altered identification card. Police also are expecting to charge him with public indecency and violating liquor laws.
Police were called to Taco Bell about 2:45 a.m. Saturday by an employee who said that several teen boys were exposing themselves in the drive-through lane. When officers arrived, they found the White Beech Lane boy in a car driven by Matthew Senchesak, 19, of Staatz Drive, in the drive-through lane. Two 20-year-old men and an 18-year-old man also were in the car.
Police said they noticed a can of beer in the car's cup holder and told the five to get out of the car. The White Beech Lane boy got out and tried to place something in a nearby bush.
Police told him to stop and grabbed his hand. He responded by grabbing an officer's leg.
Police placed the boy on the ground. He then got up and tried to walk away, but was caught and handcuffed.
Police later found an identification card with an altered birth date in the bush. The Taco Bell employee identified the White Beech Lane boy as one of the teens who exposed themselves.
Senchesak was charged with driving under the influence. The other men were not charged.
