STRUTHERS Fight broken up at baptism party
STRUTHERS -- Officers from four departments were called to the Knights of Columbus Hall on Center Street to help disperse a crowd that gathered during a fight at a baptism party.
Two men were arrested after the melee at about 10 p.m. Saturday.
Four Struthers officers first called to the hall said they were confronted by Keith Arroyo, 19, of Camden Avenue in Youngstown, who was yelling profanities and pushing a woman.
He refused to stop after officers asked him three times and was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.
Another man, Timothy Wainwright, 36, of Albert Street, Youngstown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department, police reports show.
Police said the fight began when Arroyo's mother saw Wainwright, her boyfriend, dancing with someone else. Arroyo came to her aid, getting in a pushing match with Wainwright.
The woman was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center when she complained of breathing trouble and fell to the ground. Arroyo had also complained of breathing trouble, but paramedics said he was in good health.
