Motorist discovers wreck in Lake Milton

LAKE MILTON -- It wasn't until daylight Sunday that a passing motorist spotted an upside-down 2001 Jeep in Lake Milton.
The body of 24-year-old Daniel E. King III of Northeast River Road was found in the back seat, said the Ohio State Highway Patrol Canfield post.
The accident likely happened at 2:50 a.m. Sunday when a neighbor heard a noise.
The patrol said King, who was less than a mile from home, had been driving on Newton Falls Road and failed to stop at the stop sign on Mahoning Avenue.
The Jeep went off the south side of the road, struck small trees, flipped and landed on its roof in about 5 feet of water, the patrol said.
Alcohol is suspected, the patrol said.
