Out of 'Dragnet' show
Scratch Danny Huston from your "Dragnet" scorecard.
Huston, son of legendary director John Huston, is out as the star of Dick Wolf's ABC remake of the classic detective drama. He was to have played Detective Joe "Just the Facts, Ma'am" Friday.
"Unfortunately, things did not work out with me and the show," Huston said in a statement.
Ethan Embry ("Sweet Home Alabama") stays put as Friday's partner, Frank Smith. The first episode, which just wrapped production, will be reshot when the new Friday is cast.
"Dragnet" debuts in January.
