MERCER COUNTY COURT Seven sentenced



Judge Thomas Dobson of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced seven people during a session of sentence court last week. They and their sentences are:
John Reeher II, 34, last known to live on Todd Avenue, Hermitage, four to eight years in prison for felony burglary. On June 25, 2001, Reeher entered a home and attached garage on Hillcrest Avenue, Sharon, and stole a car, garden gloves, lawn mower and a purse, according to court documents. He also took a credit card and later used it at a restaurant.
Tod Tomack, 39, of the Mercer County Jail, 143 days to 23 months for escape, a misdemeanor. Tomack was a Mercer County prisoner being housed in the Lawrence County Jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. On Sept. 18, 2001, he was given a three-hour furlough to go to a doctor's office, but failed to return.
John Hosey, 55, nine to 14 months in jail with work release for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, a felony. Hosey sold cocaine on two occasions in November and December 1999 to an informant or undercover agent on Wallis Avenue, Farrell.
Antonio Jackson, 22, of West LaClede Avenue, Youngstown, 18 months probation for theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor. He placed a pistol at the side of a woman in Sharon, ordered her to give him money and threatened to kill her. He took $100 and a paintball gun worth $250 from her vehicle.
Shawn Law, 33, of Woodside Drive, Grove City, was fined $400 for false swearing, a misdemeanor. According to court documents, he swore that information he provided on a marriage license application was true. He stated on the application that he did not have any prior marriages, when in fact, he was still married to another woman. The incident occurred Feb. 26, 2001, in the Clerk of Courts office in the county courthouse.
Laurinda Williams, 26, of Lee Avenue, Farrell, five to 18 months in jail and 100 hours' community service for simple assault, a misdemeanor. On Jan. 15, 1999, in Farrell, she struck a woman in the face with a claw hammer, causing injuries that required 16 stitches to close.
David Williams, 23, of Downing Lane, Hermitage, 15 months' probation and 50 hours' community service for misdemeanor simple assault. While stealing a cell phone from a man at a Russell Street, Sharon, address Jan. 8, he struck and shoved him. Williams had two accomplices.
