Kollats honored for anniversary at dinner party

CANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Kollat, 145 Village Blvd., were honored Oct. 5 at a dinner at Chrystal's Restaurant in Youngstown on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the festivity were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Mark and Mary Jo Kollat of Canfield, Brian Kollat of North Jackson, Paul and Janeen Kollat of Aurora, and Lynore Kollat of Gainesville, Fla. Eight grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Kollat and the former Eleanor Teno were married Oct. 4, 1952, at Our Lady of Hungary Church in Youngstown. He served as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1985 from General Fireproofing Co. in Youngstown, where he was a senior estimator. He is a member of the Mahoning Valley Management Association.
His wife retired in 1982 from Strouss in Austintown, where she was an administrative assistant. She is a volunteer for St. Elizabeth Health Center as well as other organizations.
The Kollats are members of St. Michael Church.
