Garden club will sponsor lecture

CANFIELD -- St. Michael Garden Club will sponsor a program by Bill Hixson, world-renowned designer, lecturer and teacher, at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at St. Michael Church.
Hixson's topic will be "So What if You are Not Martha Stewart -- You Can Have a Great Christmas Anyway!"
One of Hixson's former students, Nancy Clarke, is head floral designer for the White House, and Hixson has assisted her in arranging there for each president since Ronald Reagan. He also has helped decorate the White House for Christmas.
Tickets for the event are $12 and may be obtained by sending a check payable to St. Michael Garden Club along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Pat Hoyle, 70 Lake Pointe Circle, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
