DRUG RAIDS Youngstown
The Youngstown Vice Squad arrested several people while executing search warrants. The homes searched, and those arrested in each home, Friday were:
720 Sherwood Ave.
Jamal Pusey, 23, of 720 Sherwood Ave., charged with trafficking in crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of weapons under a disability and resisting arrest. Reports state that Pusey tried to barricade his door when the vice squad arrived. He then ran from officers who entered the home. Officer said they saw Pusey holding a plastic bag containing suspected crack cocaine. A loaded handgun and another bag containing suspected crack cocaine also were found in the home. Pusey was in Mahoning County Jail Saturday evening.
528 Powersdale Ave.
Eric Neff, 37, of 942 Cameron Ave., charged with possession of drug abuse paraphernalia. Reports state that Neff dropped a suspected crack pipe when he was approached by officers on the home's porch. Neff is free on bond.
Billy English, 42, of 1614 Silliman St., charged with drug abuse-cocaine. Officers said they found suspected crack cocaine in English's pocket. English was in county jail Saturday evening.
Anthony Barbero, 22, 7616 Hitchcock Road, Boardman, charged with possession of drug abuse paraphernalia. Officers said they found a suspected crack pipe near where Barbero had been lying on the floor. He is free on bond.
810 Parkwood Ave.
Mark Wilburn, 29, of 548 Parkwood Ave., charged with drug abuse-marijuana. Officers said they found a bag of suspected marijuana when they searched Wilburn outside of the home. He is free on bond.
April Jackson, 31, 810 Parkwood Ave., charged with drug abuse-cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer said they found a suspected crack pipe near where Jackson had been lying on the floor. Suspected crack cocaine also was found in Jackson's purse. She was in county jail Saturday evening.
Fabian Whitted, 33, of 550 Parkwood Ave., charged with drug abuse-cocaine. Officers said they found suspected crack cocaine in Whitted's pocket. He was in county jail Saturday evening.
