YOUNGSTOWN -- Cynda Lynn Bacani and Douglas Carl Brainard, both of 4346 W. 229th St., Fairview Park, were united in marriage Oct. 5 in a ceremony solemnized at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William Petrunak at St. Edward Church.
After a reception at Leo's Ristorant & eacute; in Howland, the couple left on a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They will live in Fairview Park.
Parents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Roberto A. Bacani, 3311 Logan Way, and the groom's parents are Gary and Margaret Brainard, 1507 Cleveland Road E., Huron.
An embroidered waistband enhanced the bride's sleeveless gown of Italian satin.
Chocolate-brown gowns were worn by Merry Wagner, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Karen Avis, Pamela Tierney, Stacy Langenderfer, Christina Kasper, Elizabeth Olson and Stephanie Mohr. Flower girls were Kaley Capron and Alexandra Avis.
Brian Hartung performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were David Nier, Robert Bacani, Dante Bacani, Brian Burkett, Andrew Lafler and Donald Roth. Max Davis and Aaron Avis were ring bearers.
The bride, an account executive with United Parcel Service in Cleveland, graduated from Ohio University in Athens with a degree in communications and marketing.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in business management at Ohio State University, Columbus, and is an inside-sales representative with Cleveland Wire Cloth and Manufacturing Co., Cleveland.
