3 held on burglary, kidnapping charges

NEWTON FALLS -- Police arrested three Portage County men after a brief struggle and charged them with forcing their way into a home and holding the occupants at bay with a knife as they stole items.
Police said Saturday that the men forced their way into a home in the 700 block of Newton Drive late Friday. Police said they caught the three coming out of the home.
The three are in Trumbull County Jail pending court appearances on charges of aggravated burglary, kidnapping and aggravated menacing. Police didn't say what was stolen.
