YOUNGSTOWN -- Congregation Rodef Sholom was the setting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 1 for the wedding of Meredith Safier Weimer and Brian Daniel Bender.
Parents of the couple are Atty. William and Carole Weimer, 2331 Fifth Ave., and Dr. Alan Bender and Dr. Gail Bender-Satz, both of Minneapolis.
Rabbi Franklin Muller officiated, and a reception followed at Stambaugh Auditorium. After a honeymoon to Italy, the couple are living in Minneapolis.
The bride's strapless gown featured a beaded bodice and full tulle skirt that flowed to a chapel train. It was enhanced with waterfall beading.
Hayley Weimer, her sister, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Ilyse Goldsmith, Candace Levy, Alicia Mazzi, Amy and Leslie Safier, the bride's cousins, and Meredith Weiss. They wore platinum gowns.
Best man was Devon Jorlett, and groomsmen were David, Herschel and Seth Bender, the groom's brothers, and Tyler Brown, Aaron Dulgar and Joe Grzesiak. Ushers were Ben Lange and Keith Ohlendorf.
Mrs. Bender is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., with a bachelor's degree in linguistics. She is employed in desktop support at General Mills in Minneapolis.
Her husband holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a master's in that field from the University of Minnesota. He is chief executive officer of Tehom Studios in Minneapolis.
