Scouting report: Sophomore TB Scott Froelich and junior QB Kevin Huber (Newton Falls) keyed Westminster's offense in a 24-13 win over Allegheny. Froelich produced 239 yards of total offense, including 187 yards rushing in 32 carries and one TD, and a 49-yard TD pass reception. Huber was 9-for-13 passing for 183 yards and two TDs, including a 70-yard TD strike to WR Matt Steve. Senior MLB Joe Bianco came up with 10 solo tackles and four assists, and was named PAC Defensive Player of the Week and Defensive Titan of the Week. Junior FB Ryan Mitchell (Warren Harding) was named Offensive Titan of the Week for his blocking that opened holes for Froelich, while sophomore P/WR Ben Haug (New Middletown Springfield) averaged 36.4 yards for five punts and was named Special Teams Titan of the Week. Washington and Jefferson overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Thiel last Saturday, 21-17. Senior QB Brian Dawson and senior wideout Todd Fry hooked up on two third-quarter TD strikes to key the Presidents' comeback. Dawson threw three TD passes to give him a school-record 89 for his career. He holds 21 school passing and total yardage records.

Scouting report: Mount Union is coming off a 49-3 romp past Muskingum to extend the nation's longest collegiate winning streak to 31 games. The Purple Raiders have a 102-1 regular-season record since 1992. Sophomore RB Rick Ciccone rushed for 84 yards in 15 carries and two TDs -- all three totals career highs -- to help Mount Union rout Muskingum. Senior WR Derrick Leach had a career-high four receptions. Otterbein lost to Wilmington last Saturday, 32-14.

Scouting report: Thiel enjoyed a 17-7 halftime lead before faltering to Washington & amp; Jefferson last Saturday, 21-17. Junior RB Justin Napotnik (Sharpsville) rushed for 85 yards in the first half to lead the Tomcats' 125-4 yards rushing advantage before intermission. Sophomore QB Daryl Moore completed 11 of 25 passes for 153 yards with one interception. Grove City rallied past Bethany last week, 28-20, holding the Bison scoreless in the second half. Junior HB Steve Roberts rushed for a career-second-best 153 yards, including a 57-yard TD dash that gave the Wolverines a 21-20 lead. Senior QB Todd Smargiasso (Wilmington Area) hit on seven of eight passes for 133 yards.

Scouting report: Geneva lost in the waning seconds to Trinity International last week, 21-14 after twice rallying from deficits. Sophomore TB Josh Mullins (Blackhawk) rushed for 104 yards and one TD for Geneva, while junior LB Dan Glaze registered 16 tackles. St. Francis is coming off a 49-14 win over William Penn College, and is ranked No. 9 nationally in the NAIA poll.

Scouting report: Allegheny dropped a 24-13 decision to Westminster last week, while Wabash romped past Kenyon, 58-0. Junior LB Ryan James (Kennedy Christian) led Allegheny in tackles against Westminster with 14 stops and a sack. Senior LB Joe Cowart (New Castle) will start at OLB Saturday. Last year, he 59 tackles at SS. Sophomore FS Adam Klimas (Boardman) will be in a backup role.

Scouting report: Malone posted a 45-21 win over Olivet Nazarene last week behind QB Eric Rector, who passed for 334 yards and three TDs. Joel Peterson contributed 110 yards rushing. Sophomore DB Michael Swanson (East Liverpool) came up with six tackles, including five solo stops, plus one interception and three pass deflections against Olivet Nazarene, and was named MSFA Mideast League Defensive Player of the Week. Walsh topped St. Francis (Ill.) last week, 28-14. Junior TB Derek Besgrove rushed for 145 yards and two TDs, and leads the MSFA in rushing (132.2 yards per game) and rushing TDs (7).
