James leads South Range win



Western Reserve beat Lowellville in the ICL and Crestview improved to 11-0 in the TCL.
NORTH LIMA -- Jodi James had 13 kills, 11 blocks and nine digs to lead the South Range High volleyball team past Mineral Ridge 6-15, 15-12, 15-8 Tuesday.
Natalie Biastro had 13 points and 12 digs, and Kelly Skrinyer added 18 assists and five digs for the Raiders (7-8, 5-5 Inter-County League).
For Mineral Ridge (11-7, 4-4), Jenna Hinks had 14 points, four kills and four blocks, while Larrissa Proud added five points, six kills and six blocks and Carrie Wilson contributed two points and 14 assists.
Springfield 16-15, Mathews 14-0
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Carrie Davis collected 11 kills, Lindsay Johnson had eight kills and four blocks, while Heather Snyder had six points and six digs for Springfield.
The Tigers are 13-3, 9-0.
Jaci Bahrey had five kills and three blocks, while Lindsay Mizicko had a kill and three blocks for the Mustangs (4-10, 1-8).
Western Reserve 15-15, Lowellville 8-11
LOWELLVILLE -- Theresa Polack served eight points, with four aces, to help lead Western Reserve (12-6, 8-2 ICL) past Lowellville.
Quinn McCammon (six digs), Katie Harman (27 assists) and Andrea Hernan (seven kills) contributed to the win.
For Lowellville (3-11, 0-10), Kathy Peterson served 11 points, with two aces. Tami Nero had 10 assists, while Emily Vaselchik added six digs, Christa Flora five kills, Tara Burton four digs and Molly Macejko three blocks.
Crestview 15-15, East Palestine 12-13
COLUMBIANA -- Abbey Fristik came up with eight kills, three aces, four points and two digs, while Kate Kibby had seven kills and six blocks for the Rebels (14-3, 11-0 Tri-County League).
For East Palestine, Melissa Rowland had 11 points and Abbey Gorby checked in with four kills.
Lakeview 15-15, Liberty 5-6
CORTLAND -- Megan Taylor collected four kills, nine assists, six digs and two aces, while Whitney Keyser backed her up with five digs and four kills for Lakeview in a Trumbull Athletic Conference match.
The Bulldogs are 13-4, 9-2.
Mary Massaro paced the Leopards (5-11, 2-9) with four assists.
Girard 15-15, Brookfield 10-4
BROOKFIELD -- Janeen Delgenio collected eight points and an ace, while Tealle Hunkus had 17 kills and Erin Stevens assisted on 24 plays for the Indians.
The Warriors (9-6, 7-4 TAC) were led by Rachel Pasquerilla (five points, seven digs and six assists) and Jessica Zabroski (six kills, 11 digs).
Hubbard 15-15, Badger 0-1
KINSMAN -- Katy Jo Mroski had nine kills, Monika Rajkivoca had six kills and Jessica Williams had 12 points for the Eagles (18-0, 12-0 TAC).
Badger is 0-16, 0-12.
Newton Falls 10-15-15, LaBrae 15-4-13
NEWTON FALLS -- Ashley Shavers collected 18 points, five kills, five blocks and three aces for the Tigers (4-10, 3-9 TAC).
For LaBrae (6-12, 4-8), Kendra Needles had nine points, nine kills and two aces, while Maddie D'Orio had seven kills and three blocks.
