SOCCER Fitch girls blank Poland, 4-0; Ursuline edges JFK



Bob Davis, Jeremy Winters, Nick Lutz and Nick Antonuccci scored as Boardman beat East Palestine, 5-0.
AUSTINTOWN -- Jodi Bowlen scored two goals and added an assist as Austintown Fitch High defeated Poland 4-0 in a girls soccer game Monday.
Dina Harris and Amanda Sprowl also scored goals and Brittney Getz got an assist for the Falcons (8-1-3).
Alison Chasko saved 18 shots for Fitch while Poland's Landry Yankle had 14 saves.
Poland (9-2-1) out-shot Fitch 23-21.
Ursuline 1, Warren JFK 0
WARREN -- Freshman Mariah Snyder scored the winning goal for Ursuline (7-5) in the second half on an assist from junior sweeper Dana Bachinger.
Cardinal Mooney 5, Southeast 0
STRUTHERS -- At Valley Sports, Kacie Kubik scored two goals while Kellie Willis, Kelly Burke and Marisa Simon added one goal apiece, to pace Mooney.
West Branch 3, Lakeview 2
BELOIT -- Anina Beegle assisted on a first-half goal then scored with 6:19 remaining to snap a 2-2 tie for the Warriors (4-5-3).
Paige Stryffeler and Aimee Rice scored for the Warriors while the Bulldogs got goals from Sarah Christner and Katie Barnes.
Beegle leads the team with 10 goals.
Boys
BOARDMAN -- Bob Davis scored two goals while Jeremy Winters, Nick Lutz and Nick Antonucci had one goal apiece, as Boardman defeated East Palestine 5-0. Goalie Mark Lipinsky had seven saves for the Spartans (3-4-2). East Palestine goalie Ben Schoeol had eight saves.
Mooney 8, Warren JFK 0
STRUTHERS -- Kiki Willis scored three goals while Pat Walker and Kevin Miller each had two goals for the Cardinals (10-2), who have won five in a row.
Alex Simon tacked on a goal and an assist while Christo Frangopolis and Walker each had an assist.
Mooney took more shots (19-2) and led 6-0 at the break.
Hubbard 3, Badger 1
HUBBARD -- Justin Daly registered all three goals for Hubbard (8-4, 3-4 TAC), while Mark Sarisky and Tom Angelo each contributed an assist. Goalie Mike Mogg had 10 saves.
Zack Pettit scored for Badger (1-11, 0-7), while goalie Josh Dagres had eight saves.
Crestview 4, Bristol 0
COLUMBIANA -- Ken Wagenhouser scored three goals and added an assist for the Rebels (10-3).
Jamiel Radman also scored for Crestview. Bristol is 2-7-3.
Columbiana 6, Minerva 0
COLUMBIANA -- Ryan Schmidt, Barry Kimpel and Eric Birnesser each scored two goals for the Clippers (12-2).
Brad Bancroft, Birnesser, Kimpel and Schmidt also each had an assist for the Clippers.
