Outfielder Ben Francisco and left-handed pitcher Keith Ramsey of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers have been named to the 2002 New York-Penn League All-Star team. Sixteen players were selected, with Oneonta outfielder Curtis Granderson being named most valuable player. Francisco led the league in batting (.349 average), tied for first in runs scored (55), was second in hits (82), third in on-base percentage (.416), fourth in stolen bases (22), fourth in slugging percentage (.502) and fifth in extra-base hits (28). Ramsey, 6-3, was fifth in the league in earned-run average (2.04).
