Monsters on the loose
KINSMAN -- Children ages 5-12 will create ghoulish Monster Jug Heads at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kinsman Free Public Library. Children will pick the color of their Jug Heads when they register for a spot in Dr. Dianne's wacky laboratory. They should wear old (paint and glue friendly) clothing. Dog testing
Does your dog have a sound temperament? Here's one sure-fire way to find out: The American Temperament Test Society offers an exam that evaluates stability, shyness, aggressiveness, friendliness, protectiveness toward the handler and self-preservation in the face of a threat. Causes for flunking include unprovoked aggression, panic without recovery and strong avoidance.
The test is open to purebred and mixed-breed dogs alike; the latter must be spayed or neutered to receive a certificate. For details of the test and breed-specific test results, visit www.atts.org.
