Katie Shannon, Joseph Bestic are engaged

ZANESVILLE -- Announced by Dr. Michael and Linda Shannon, 2860 Dresden Road, is the engagement of their daughter, Katie Shannon of Columbus, and Joseph Bestic, Riverwatch Tower 531, 364 W. Lane, Columbus.
Parents of the future groom are Dr. Michael and Pamela Bestic, 1845 E. 11th St., Salem.
Miss Shannon graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a degree in dietetics. She is serving a dietetic internship in association with Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Bestic, a fourth-year medical student at Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.
The couple will be married at 5 p.m. May 13, 2003, in a private family ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. A reception will be held afterward.
