NHL ROUNDUP Friday's other games

Maple Leafs 3, Flyers 0
PHILADELPHIA -- Toronto's Ed Belfour took the lead in shutouts among active NHL goaltenders with 62 as the Maple Leafs blanked the Flyers. Belfour made 21 saves as he passed Colorado's Patrick Roy for career shutouts and recorded his second shutout against the Flyers in six days. He beat Philadelphia 6-0 last Saturday in Toronto. Belfour, in his 17th NHL season and first with the Maple Leafs, is tied with Turk Broda for 11th place on the career list. He has four shutouts this season and three in his last five games. Aki Berg, with his first goal in over a year, Nik Antropov and Mikael Renberg scored for the Leafs, who have won three of their last four games.
Bruins 4, Canadiens 2
BOSTON -- For two periods, the Bruins played like the team Montreal bounced from the playoffs last season. Then the team that has dominated the Eastern Conference this season showed up. Michal Grosek broke a tie with his first goal of the season in the first game between the teams since the Canadiens stunned the top-seeded Bruins in the first round of the playoffs. The Bruins are 7-2 in games decided by two goals or fewer, including a 5-1 mark in one-goal games. Grosek's goal came just 1 1/2 minutes after Montreal's Richard Zednik made it 2-2 with his second score of the game and 12th of the season.
Avalanche 2, Wild 2
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Antti Laaksonen's third-period goal lifted the Wild into the tie. Laaksonen picked off an errant pass by Avalanche defenseman Bryan Muir and got off a wrist shot for his seventh goal of the season. Colorado ran its winless streak to six games. Avalanche center Peter Forsberg, who scored a goal, left in the second period with a groin injury.
Hurricanes 6, Red Wings 4
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jan Hlavac scored three goals and Jeff O'Neill got the game-winner with 8:48 left in a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup finals. Hlavac, who came to Carolina in a trade Nov. 1 from Vancouver, beat Curtis Joseph on a back-handed rebound for the third hat trick of his career with 15:34 left. But Brett Hull cashed in with 35 seconds left on a two-man advantage to move within 12 of 700 career goals to tie it at 4. O'Neill then scored Carolina's fifth power-play goal two minutes later, and Sami Kapanen added one 1:37 after the O'Neill goal as Carolina beat Detroit for the first time in the regular season since December 1998.
Canucks 5, Lightning 3
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Canucks extended their franchise-record winning streak to nine games. Backup goalie Peter Skudra made 32 saves and Daniel Sedin scored a tie-breaking power-play goal in the third period. Markus Naslund, Murray Baron and Marek Malik also scored for the Canucks, who are 11-1 in November. It's the first 11-win month in team history. Martin St. Louis had two goals for Tampa Bay.
Senators 6, Capitals 2
WASHINGTON -- Marian Hossa's goal extended his point-scoring streak to a franchise-record 12 games and the Senators remained unbeaten in nine games. Daniel Alfredsson scored twice and Chris Neil, Jason Spezza and Martin Havlat also tallied for the Senators, who are 7-0-2 since losing at Boston on Nov. 9. The only longer undefeated streak this season belongs to the St. Louis Blues, who were 9-0-1 from Oct. 12-Nov. 9. Hossa's team-high 13th goal early in the second period gave him the longest points streak of the season. He broke the Senators' mark established by Alexei Yashin in 1998-99. Pittsburgh's Mario Lemieux and Alexei Kovalev both had points in 11 consecutive games earlier this season.
Devils 2, Predators 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Backup goaltender Corey Schwab turned back 28 shots in leading New Jersey Devils past Nashville. It was just the second start this season for Schwab in relief of Martin Brodeur. He lost his only other start 3-1 to Tampa Bay last Saturday. Brodeur has played in 18 games.
Blues 7, Flames 2
ST. LOUIS -- Pavol Demitra scored three goals for his third career hat trick and added an assist as St. Louis beat Calgary. The Blues won without goalie Tom Barrasso, who left after one period with a back strain. Fred Brathwaite has been sharing the job with Barrasso with No. 1 Brent Johnson out because of a high ankle sprain sustained before training camp. Brathwaite played the last two periods. Demitra was second on the team with 35 goals last season and has been held to seven this season, although he also has 17 assists for a team-leading 24 points.
Stars 3, Rangers 3
DALLAS -- Brenden Morrow scored twice, including the tying goal in the second period, and Dallas remained unbeaten at home in regulation this season. Tom Poti had two goals for the Rangers, and Sandy McCarthy also scored against goaltender Marty Turco, who started the night as the league leader in goals-against average, save percentage and shutouts. Turco had 23 saves and Jason Arnott added a goal for the Stars, 7-1-2 in their last 10 games.
