McDonald's suit shifts blame

Let's see if we've got this right. According to a lawsuit filed in New York City, children for whom McDonald's became a home away from home, some of whom ate most of their meals at the fast food restaurant, are now overweight. And that's McDonald's fault. And McDonald's should pay.
Wrong. The parents of these children should be held responsible. They should be prosecuted for child neglect and endangering their children. One of these kids is diabetic and weighs 400 pounds. A parent who would continue to give money to a child with such health problems and send him or her off to a fast food restaurant several days a week should be horsewhipped.
Time to fight back
The greedy lawyer who assembled this case and is suggesting he may expand it into a class action suit, should be ashamed of himself, but that's too much to ask. McDonald's will obviously fight the suit vigorously, but that's not enough. The company should countersue the lawyer for filing this frivolous action, seeking reimbursement of all expenses.
Money is the only language some lawyers understand. Maybe when the money starts coming out of their pockets they'll think twice before filing nuisance suits.
