YOUNGSTOWN -- A West Evergreen Avenue man is to appear in municipal court Monday to face charges stemming from a chase with police.
Ronald Raine, 20, is charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, failure to comply and obstructing official business. He turned himself in Friday.
Police said a car driven by Raine ran a stop sign on Homestead Street at Indianola Avenue around 10 p.m. Thursday. Raine didn't stop when police tried to pull him over, reports said.

Raine came out of the home a few minutes later. When police tried to handcuff him, he knocked an officer off-balance and ran, police said.
Police lost sight of him on Marmion Avenue.
Reports state that at 9 a.m. Friday, Raine came to the police station with his family to turn himself in. An officer told Raine he would be given a ticket.
Raine and his family waited at the police station for about four hours, till about 1 p.m., when Raine was told he would be arrested.
Raine's father, Roosevelt Raine, 58, also of West Evergreen, then began to curse at police, they said. He also accused a white officer of racism. Raine is black.
Roosevelt Raine was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
