AUXILIARIES
XEagles Auxiliary 213 of Youngstown will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the club on South Avenue with Melva Day presiding. Officers will meet at 7:15.
XGirard K. of C. Auxiliary Council No. 2935 will have its annual Christmas party at 6 p.m. Monday at the K. of C. Hall, 133 S. State St. All members, spouses and guests are invited.
XMahoning County Council Auxiliary to VFW will hold a Christmas party and past presidents' dinner Thursday at VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Members are asked to take a Christmas ornament for an auction. There will be no meeting in January.
XVFW 7538 Auxiliary will meet Wednesday at The Elmton in Struthers. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., and there will be a meeting at 7:30 with Dorothy McLaughlin presiding. Dues are now payable. For reservations call Eleanor Goskie at (330) 755-2051.

XChapter CE of the PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield, for a Christmas lunch at noon. The social committee will be the host.
XCroatian Ladies of Campbell will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday for a Christmas party at Our Place Restaurant. Patty Bozichevic will be chairwoman.
XFriends of the Poland Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the library meeting room. Guest speaker Margaret White will have a Christmas reading, and members will decorate the Christmas tree. Hostesses will be Lucille McPhilliamy, Ina Webber, Jesse Torbron and Pauline Gazdik.
XKent State University Mothers Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park. Members are asked to take a covered dish and a $5 gift for an exchange. XCanfield Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Diamond Back Golf Course in Ellsworth for a luncheon with Shirley Pitzer presiding. Carol McCracken will present a program on the Hope Library and Hope Home, and officers will be installed. Martha Henry will give the invocation, and Barb Hall will be in charge of decorations.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XCourt Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ground Round Restaurant, South Avenue Extension. Members are asked to take items for the Mill Creek Park Children's Center and small wrapped items for bingo that will follow dinner. Hostesses will be Kathleen Padgitt and Florence Lloyd. XCourt St. Anne 1875, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet following the noon Mass Monday at Holy Name of Jesus social hall. There will be a Christmas social, and donations will be made for charity.
XHoly Name of Jesus Ladies Guild will hold a meeting and Christmas social at noon Tuesday at the church social hall.
XLadies Altar Guild of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahoning Avenue, will hold a Christmas party at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at The Gatsby in Austintown.
XSt. Michael Altar Guild will have a casserole dinner at 6 p.m. Monday. Members are asked to take a casserole to serve 12. Pauline Weldon will preside, and Naomi Beardsley, soloist, will present "Christmas Around the World." There will be a brief business meeting. XSt. Rose Altar and Rosary Society will have a Christmas party and lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the lower church hall. Dorothy Hannon and Fran Sainato will be chairwomen of the hostess committee.
XSeton III of Youngstown will meet Thursday at the Youngstown Club for a social at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7. A program will be presented by Struthers Show and Jazz Choir, and donations will be made for Thanksgiving and Christmas for the needy. Hostesses will be Mary McMahon, Betty Fowler, Dolores Snyder, Catherine Coyle, Angie Phillipone, Mary Alyce Kinnick, Tina McCormick and Carol Franken.
XTod Avenue United Methodist Women will hold a general meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Officers will be installed, and Layes Wood will be in charge of a Christmas program. The men's chorus will perform. Members are to take supplies for the food pantry. Deborah Circle will be in charge of arrangements. Soup for shut-ins will be distributed Dec. 11. Circle meetings are as follows: Deborah, Christmas luncheon at 1:15 p.m. Dec. 10 at Golden Gate Restaurant; Rebecca, meeting and Christmas luncheon at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 at the church; and Diane, Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at Damon's followed by a party at home of Elena Loomis.
