YOUNGSTOWN -- "Jabali -- The African Cultural Celebration" open house and dinner will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center, Youngstown State University. Dinner features African cuisine with music, and the Lost Boys of Sudan and a choral group from Western Galilee, Israel. Keynote speaker is Dr. Isaiah Jackson, director of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. The event is sponsored by YSU Africana Studies Program with Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Youngstown, Baptist Pastors' Council of Youngstown and Vicinity, Jewish Community Relations Council and the YSU Diversity Council. Tickets are $20 per nonstudent or $10 per student and assist with scholarships for students pursuing Africana studies. Call (330) 941-3097.
