'Winter Celebration'will begin Dec. 8
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mill Creek MetroParks will host "Winter Celebration -- A Taste of the Holidays" at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens Dec. 8 through Jan. 5.
Opening-day festivities will be from noon to 5 p.m. Highlights include musical performances, holiday demonstrations, decorated trees, floral displays, family activities and a model train exhibit.
A new holiday feature, Gardens by Candlelight, will take place Dec. 22 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Guests will enjoy twinkling candlelight tours of the Gardens, followed by music and cocoa in the Davis Center. There is no fee, but registration is requested.
