Returning letterwinners: Danielle Eldridge (5-7, Sr., F), Joselyn Parker (5-6, Sr., G), Tameka Thompson (5-2, Sr., G), Angela Armstrong (5-4, Sr., G), Whitney Washington (5-5, Jr., G), Courtney Williams (5-7, So., C), Adrienne Peace (5-1, So., G) and Quiana Faison (5-8, So., F).
Newcomers: Ciera Adams (5-8, Sr., C).
Outlook: Bakos says the Cowgirls will have a strong inside game led by Eldridge, Williams and Faison. Parker is expected to again lead the team in scoring.
RAYEN
Head coach: Holly Seimetz, 10th year (93-91)
2001 record: 15-5, 6-0
Returning letterwinners: Erica Wilson (5-9, F, Sr.), Ashley Adams (5-6, G, Sr.), Ashley Myers (5-10, Jr., F), Taneisha Holland (5-6, Soph., G), Taryn Perkins (5-8, Jr., F), Erica Smallwood (5-5, Jr., G).
Outlook: The returning City Series champions must replace all-league forward Cherrell Triplett. The Tigers, who lost to Howland in the first round of the tournament, will look to be more competitive outside the league.
WILSON
Head coach: Henry Brew
2001 record: 2-18, 0-6
Returning letterwinners: Leslie Norwood, Crystal Slade, Angeline Calderon, Rhonesia Griffin, Charity Burt.
Outlook: Will just try to stay competitive and show improvement in each game.
