Sloats honored on anniversary at two events

XWARREN -- Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sloat of Warren celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a week in Toronto followed by a Nov. 19 weekend celebration held for family members at the Radisson Inn in West Middlesex, Pa.
Hosts for the festivities were their daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Doug McLeod of Warren and Tarey and Dan Balash of Mineral Ridge. Also participating were their four grandchildren.
Mr. Sloat and the former Norma Guliuzza were married Nov. 1, 1952, at Wesley Methodist Church in Marion.
Mr. Sloat served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired in 1998 from the Trane HVAC Corp.
Mrs. Sloat is a homemaker.
