David Wesley scored nine of his 20 points and Jamal Mashburn had eight of his 16 in the decisive third quarter as the Hornets extended a two-point halftime lead to 74-65.
Davis hit a 3-pointer to start the fourth, putting New Orleans ahead by 12.
New Orleans' starting backcourt of Davis and Wesley outscored the Cavs' starting guards, Bimbo Coles and Milt Palacio, 37-11, despite the Cleveland duo totaling 12 more minutes.

Campbell scored four points in 16 minutes.
Cavs rookie Carlos Boozer had his second straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
